Accessibility

We strive to ensure that our library is accessible for everyone. In addition to the list of accommodations below, please reach out with any suggestions and feedback on ways we can welcome everyone in our community.

The Finger Lakes Library System provides more accessibility guides and information about the library collection here.

Parking

One ADA parking space with access aisle is located in the parking lot adjacent to the library.

Entrance

The back entrance (attached to the parking lot) of the library is ground level with automatic door buttons. All public areas of the building are on one floor, and all entry doors are ground level.

Restrooms

Two accessible restrooms are in the library lobby, closest to the parking lot.

Workstations, Tables, and Seating Areas

Computer workstations are situated on standard-height fixed tables. Our chairs have wheels and can be removed to allow wheelchair access. We do not have adjustable workstations or high-top tables.

Adaptive Equipment

One walker with a seat and basket is available for patrons during their visit. Reading and magnifying glasses are also available upon request at the desk. Patrons may adjust computer screen brightness and text size on all computers.

Accessing Library Materials

All pathways are spaced so that patrons with mobility aides can easily navigate the building. Some materials in the library are located on higher shelves and may be out of reach for some; staff and volunteers are happy to retrieve these materials for you. Curbside service is available by calling the front desk at 607-387-5623.
