Spring & Fall Book Sales
UPL’s Spring and Fall Book Sales are run by our Library Trustees and volunteers. We sell good-condition used items, donated by the community or deaccessioned from the library collection. All proceeds directly support the library’s annual operating budget. Thank you for your support!
Donating Materials to the Book Sale
YES we are currently accepting materials for the next Book Sale. The last day to donate materials is Saturday September 12th.
Fall Book Sale 2026
Thursday 10/1 - 8:30am-6:30pm
All are welcome! Trumansburg students will be invited to visit the sale and receive a free book
Friday 10/2 - 8:30am-5pm

Saturday 10/3 - 10am-4pm

Book Donations
Before dropping off your donation please ask yourself, would I give this item to a friend? If the answer is no, please don’t give it to the library!
We graciously accept donations of gently used:
Books
DVDs
CDs
LP records
Games
Puzzles
Book donations can be brought to the front desk during library open hours. Please do not leave book donations in the exterior book drops.
We DO NOT accept:
VHS cassettes & audio cassettes
Any books that are moldy, smelly, and/or damaged
Textbooks, outdated computer books (over five years old)
Outdated books on health, disease, fitness, etc. (over five years old)
Outdated travel guides (over five years old)
Magazines
Puzzles or games with missing pieces
Items from the list above will need to be disposed of which creates unnecessary work for our volunteers and staff.
